They know they own the yard, and they will go at any lengths to protect their territory from people they don’t like! For instance, this man can’t go anywhere near his roommate’s Chihuahua… he thinks the little dog simply hates him! This dog is not evil, nor does the roommate represent an untrustworthy or bad guy. Smaller dogs in particular react more from fear than from a protection instinct. The chihuahua really needs some training – this kind of aggressive behavior is not okay, and the dog should not be allowed to display it. It represents a very real bite risk, and that is always from fear. The owner is obviously not in control of his dog. They need Ceasar!!
