I have a dog and I would not let any child stand on my dog regardless if she let them or not. Dogs are not step stools. This could hurt the dog in so many ways. I taught my grandson that he must respect animals. Standing on a dog is not respecting them, its abusing them! I would not have taken a picture and posted it . I would not have allowed my grandson to stand on the dog first of all and explain that it is not ok to stand on dogs or any animal for that matter. I dont care who she is or isnt. She needs to get a clue on how to treat dogs! Also if you let him stand on yours the next dog he goes to stand on may not like it and bite him. And the only person responsible for that would be Sarah Palin herself. Buy some step stools and teach him to use those.

I am quite certain Sarah doesn’t condone this behavior, but it is cute how dog and child worked together! I am sure she loves them both, and doggie was obviously not in distress. It’s kind of like when your kid first says a 4-letter word…you reprimand them, but inside your chuckling cuz they are so stinkin’ cute. I am sure those who had their panties in a wad are animal lovers and mean well…there are critters everywhere that are TRULY being abused. Put your energy toward the ones who really need it.

I still feel the same about it, the child should not stand on the dog for any reason, It is not teaching him about safety or treatment to animals and both are very vital for him to learn about.I am just very disappointed in the fact that adults think this is ok when it is not. Some people just try their best to make a right out of something that is wrong and try to push it down peoples throats. Come on people now.
