This Dog was Almost Starved to Death. But Then a Miracle Happened.

A dog was dying. This dog’s name is Angel, and she was being purposely starved. You should get your tissues ready, but don’t worry, this story has a happy ending. You could even call it a miracle.

The video on the next page will make you cry. At first it will be from sadness and anger. How can people treat an animal in this way? It is sad how frequent it is.

But after that, you will be crying tears of joy. Angel was finally rescued.

The rescuer’s said it was the worst case they had ever seen. When they got angel, she was on the verge of death. She could barely move.

They were afraid it was too late for Angel. They were hoping and praying that Angel would make it through.

The rescuers had a major journey ahead of them. They couldn’t feed Angel too much too quickly, her stomach wouldn’t be able to handle it. But soon they would see the light come back into Angel’s eyes.

After some TLC, professional nursing, and love, Angel was able to make a full recovery. I guess it wasn’t her time to cross the rainbow bridge.

This Puppy Was Tied Up in a Garbage Bag and Left to Die Until One Man Saved Her

A Canadian man served as  a guardian angel for one lucky dog. This poor puppy was tied up in a garbage bag and left to die.

Aaron Katz was walking home from work, and he happened to take a back street instead of his usual route. He heard a faint yelp. He decided to follow it to see where it came from. Aaron looked down, and noticed the sound was coming from a garbage bag on the side of the road. The bag began to move. He was understandably hesitant to open the bag, but thank goodness he did.

When he untied the garbage bag, he was shocked to see a scared little German Shepherd puppy. He could not believe his eyes.

He picked up the dirty and freezing puppy, and brought her to his car.

When Aaron got the dog back to his car, he had several emotions running through him at once. He felt relieved that he was able to find and save her, but also angry and confused about why someone would do this to a dog.

She had no collar or other identification, so he named her Elle and took her home. He contacted the Humane Society to let them know he had found her. No one was looking for a German Shepherd Puppy.

They alerted animal services, and everyone decided it would be best if Aaron kept her. She fits right in with his other dogs. It is a good thing that he found her when he did.

Pit Bull Kisses Her Puppies as they are Rescued

Rainbow, the homeless pitbull, had just had puppies. She was determined to raise them well. However, a massive rainstorm was about to make it very difficult. 48 hours after shad had given birth, the biggest rainstorm of the season started. Hope for Paws heard about this dog and went out to rescue her.

It was difficult to find the dogs, as they were hiding in a bush, and it was already dark out by the time rescuers arrived. The dogs were huddled together against the cold. Rainbow was known in the area, and attempts to rescue her previously had failed.

Eldad Hagar, one of the rescuers, spent some time with her, feeding her and calming her down. Then he started pulling out the puppies.

When Eldad lifted the first puppy, it’s mother licked it before letting him take the puppy. Every time he pulled one out, she would do the same thing: kiss them.

As soon as the last puppy was free, rainbow stood up and was coaxed out by the rescuers. The whole family was loaded into the warm, dry van.

When they returned to the hospital, the power had gone out due to the storm. Each of the dogs was inspected and cleaned by flashlight. They named the 8 puppies Thunder, Breezy, Misty, Raindrop, Flash, Bolt, Stormy and Droplet. They piled the family together in a kennel.

No One Will Adopt This Dog, and They Don’t Know Why

It’s hard to understand why someone wouldn’t want a dog like Bear, especially as a dog lover. Bear is the hero of this story, and his journey has been difficult. For some reason, Bear has been unable to find a forever home.

Bear was rescued by the Detroit Animal Welfare Group (DAWG), and they were confused that Bear kept getting passed over. He is sweet and gentle. He seemed to be an ideal family member. But for some reason, no one would adopt him. Bear was found in Flint, Michigan and had been living in the shelter for 3 Years.

“He was about 7 months old and very emaciated,” Kelley LaBonty, director of DAWG, said. “He stayed in foster care for a while, but then the foster had a family who moved in and they couldn’t keep him anymore.”

LaBonty was saddened by the number of families that began the adoption process but backed out at the last minute. She couldn’t understand it. Bear was a dream dog.

Being in a shelter isn’t fun for dogs. They are generally kept in a kennel, without an ideal bed. They don’t get the love of a family.

Dogs usually get depressed in situations like this, just like a human would. The time in the shelter was wearing Bear down. He was seeing dogs come and go.

LaBonty took to social media to help Bear. The post went viral.

“It went viral because it was a very sad picture,” she said. “He is depressed in the kennel, as most dogs get, especially after two years of being in a kennel […] Mostly he just lays on his bed with his head down.”

Once the post started making the rounds, the workers at the shelter were hoping Bear would be adopted. His only requirement was that he needed to be the only animal in the house.

After circulating the internet, the post made it’s way to a couple who fell in love with Bear. In June he was finally able to go home. And stay there. The couple promises to spoil him.

“The moment we have all been waiting for. It looks like Bear has left the dawghous after 2.5 long years in a kennel. He has a huge yard to run and will be spoiled by his new mom and dad. He even has a trainer lined up who is donating his services to help Bear and his family adjust. Tears from all who have loved and cared for Bear all this time. Thank you for giving him the chance he needs.”

Man Rescues Motionless Dog From the Middle of the Road. Watch What Happens Next.

You are driving along and see a motionless dog in the middle of the road. Do you stop? Or keep driving, assuming it is too late?

David Loop was put in this situation. He saves animals for a living, so when he saw a motionless white dog on his dashcam, he couldn’t just leave it there. He thought she was dead, but we wanted to move her body off the road so she wouldn’t get hit anymore. He moved her to the side of the road, and said a prayer for the little dog. As he turned to walk back to his car, the dog blinked. He could not believe it.

David ran back to his car to grab some blankets. He needed to get this little dog to the hospital as quickly as he could.

As he rushed to the hospital, knowing she probably wouldn’t make it, he had one thought. To get this dog out of it’s misery.

It turns out, the doctors didn’t want to put her down, they thought she had a fighting chance. David named the dog Miracle.

Miracle was in a coma. Thing were not looking good. But Miracle surprised everybody. Watch the full story below.

She Starts Filming Her Puppy on the Dock, Records Magical Reaction

I love my job, because I get to watch videos of cute dogs! This one is very cute.

Parents love to break out the camera when kids are doing something cute, and dog parents are the same. The only problem is, everything is cute! The dog in the video is named Boomer, and he is a Golden Retriever puppy. This breed is ranked #3 in the USA by the AKC. After watching this video, you will understand why!

Golden Retrievers are known for being great with kids, friendly to everyone, and of course, being cute. Boomer is definitely all of these things. This dog may be only a few weeks old, but he is having the time of his life! It doesn’t matter what he is doing, he is having fun. So sit back, relax, and watch Boomer have fun!

Hope for Paws was AMAZED at how this Dog Reacted to Being Saved

Hope for Paws have given us so many great stories about dog rescue. They have saved thousands of dogs from the streets and brought them to loving homes.

We have another amazing story for you from Hope for Paws. Even the rescuers were surprised how it turned out.

They received a call about a homeless dog living near a mechanic shop in downtown Los Angeles. They immediately stepped into action, as they always do.

Lisa Arturo and her co-worker drove around until they found the poor dog. The dog was obviously apprehensive at first, but they kept giving him treats until he relaxed.

Once he was relaxed, he immediately came towards them. They said it was definitely the easiest rescue mission they had ever done. The dog was so happy to go with them.

They named this gentle rescue dog Brutus. He began to cuddle and kiss his rescuers, even though he was just on the streets.

Pit Bull Helps Save Starving German Shepherd

No Kill Kern is a rescue organization that was based out of Bakersfield, CA. They received a call one day about a German Shepherd starving to death in a field.

They went into action, and brought with them a vital tool: Lucy the Pitbull. Lucy helped No Kill Kern with rescue missions.

When they arrived at the field, Lucy found the German Shepherd. Unfortunately, the dog was too scared to approach them. They tried, and kept trying, but they couldn’t get the starving dog to come to them.

They finally decided to lay a trap for the dog, a crate with food inside to lure the dog in.

They checked the trap later and fortunately it had worked. They decided to name her Queen. When they brought her back to shelter she was greeted with toys, love, and food. She was very happy to finally be someplace safe.

This Dog Was Euthanized, but Then They Found Out Who It Was

Target was a stray dog in Afghanistan when she was befriended by the soldiers stationed there. Target had two friends: Sasha and Rufus.

Among the soldiers who befriended the strays was Chris Duke: “A lot of us used the three of them as an escape when you’re homesick,” Duke said. One February night, a suicide bomber tried to enter the base. The three dogs attacked the bomber, eventually making him detonate before entering the base. No humans were injured.

Sasha however, was severely injured and needed to be put down. Later, Rufus and Target ended up being sent to the United States to be adopted. Rufus was adopted by Chris Duke, and Target was adopted by Sgt. Terry Jones.

After she was brought home, Target had an understandably hard time adjusting to home life. After being a stray dog in a war zone, being confined to a house was a big change.

Target escaped and was picked up by the county animal services. Jones filled out the online form and paid the fee so he could pick up Target on Monday.

When he arrived on Monday, he discovered that Target had been euthanized by mistake. “Obviously, at first there was extreme anger and horror. Now that a couple of days have passed, the anger has been replaced by sorrow,” Terry said.

“I am heartsick over this. I had to personally deliver the news to the dog’s owner, and he and his family are understandably distraught.” the director of the facility said. Because of public outcry an investigation is under way. Target, left, is pictured below.

Dog Eats His Owners Toe, Ends Up Saving His Life

Jerry Douthett had been putting off going to the doctor. Although his wife urged him to go see the doctor about his toe, Jerry just kept ignoring it, hoping it would go away.

Jerry also owns a dog named Kiko, an adorable terrier.

One night, after heavy drinking, Jerry fell asleep. When he awoke, he saw Kiko, his face covered in blood. He looked at his foot, noticing it was covered in blood. “The toe was gone,” said Douthett. “He ate it. I mean, he must have eaten it, because we couldn’t find it anywhere else in the house. I look down, there’s blood all over, and my toe is gone.”

Unable to put off going to the doctor this time, he went. The doctors removed what remained of his infected toe. While performing tests, they noticed his blood sugar was high. He was diagnosed with diabetes.

In some ways, this is unsurprising. Dogs have been trained to smell cancer and high glucose levels. Perhaps Kiko sensed something was wrong and decided to do something about it?
